// Three Payment Channels
Three ways, one billing system.
Each channel has its strengths. What matters is that all payments run license-plate-based and in real time through ParkAgent — no matter how your customers pay.
1 · Pay machine on site
The familiar way: enter the license plate at the terminal, pay by card or contactless. No smartphone, no app required.
2 · Pay via app
Save your license plate once, select a payment method, done. For everyone who handles their parking on the go, again and again.
3 · Payment website
Scan a QR code or open a URL, enter your license plate, pay. No app download, no login — straight in the browser.
Pay machine: settle on site
The terminal remains the go-to option for anyone who prefers to pay without a smartphone. Customers enter their license plate, the system displays the outstanding amount from ParkAgent, and they pay by card or contactless. No cash handling, no change required.
The machine complements the digital channels rather than replacing them — so no one is left out who prefers the classic on-site approach.
Payment apps: set up once, pay every time
For frequent parkers and returning visitors, the app is the most convenient option. License plate and payment method are saved once; after that, billing runs license-plate-based in the background. No re-entering details for every parking session.
Every transaction lands directly in ParkAgent. At a glance, you can see how many payments are coming in via the app.
Payment website: no machine, no app
Customers scan a QR code on the parking sign, barrier, or ticket — or open a fixed URL directly in their browser. Enter the license plate, check the outstanding amount, pay digitally. No download, no login.
Each location gets its own individual QR code; alternatively, the page is accessible via a dedicated subdomain, e.g. payment-demo.smart-city-system.com
License plate & real-time status
Enter the license plate, check the parking duration and outstanding amount — in real time from ParkAgent. Customers see exactly what is due before they pay. Transparent, traceable, and trust-building.
Point of sale: every channel at a glance
All transactions flow into your financial overview. The point-of-sale report shows how heavily the machine, app, and payment website are each being used — and where there is room for optimization.
// Payment Methods
5 payment methods. Whichever channel you use.
Whether at the machine, in the app, or via the payment website: your parking customers pay the way they do every day. Contactless, digital, cashless.
// Benefits for operators
What digital payment channels mean for your operation.
The more of your parking customers pay digitally, the less your operation depends on the machine. Less hardware, less maintenance, more incoming payments.
Maintenance, refilling, emptying, and repairs decrease as the app and payment website see greater use.
Customers without cash or with a card that fails at the machine can still pay — directly via smartphone.
The payment website and app require no construction or installation. Print QR codes, put them up, done. Roll out in days, not months.
Pay by license plate, drive in and out without barriers. The app and payment website are the central payment channels.
Tourists and business travellers pay with the methods they already use — no language barrier at the machine.
The app and payment website run at all times, even if the machine goes down. No outage, no technician call-out.
