Until now, the data displayed on parking spaces in the mobility platform smap (Smart Mobility Map), developed by raumobil GmbH, has primarily been static in nature. This means that the locations of parking garages, sharing parking spaces, bus stops, disabled parking spaces, or e-charging stations are known, but their actual real-time occupancy (free/occupied) is not visible to anyone. Thus, real-time occupancy data provides significant added value to the platform, as the quality of the data—and consequently its usefulness to the end user—would significantly increase.
