About
Stadtverkehr Detmold GmbH (SVD) is a local public transport company based in the city of Detmold, North Rhine-Westphalia.
Challenge
Before arriving at the parking lot, it is often unclear whether parking spaces are available—especially when it comes to accessible and motorhome parking spaces. The challenge was to provide parking information in a way that is easily accessible and user-friendly. For Stadtverkehr Detmold, it was also important to implement a simple and straightforward solution so that commuters and citizens can quickly access this information.
Solution
The parking sensors from Smart City System transmit the occupancy status of a parking space in real time. The real-time occupancy display of the various parking spaces is shown in the free CityPilot app, and the real-time data is also integrated into Detmold’s official website. Both solutions allow for quick and easy access to information about motorhome and accessible parking spaces in the city of Detmold.
I am positive about every stage of the collaboration with Smart City System. I would also like to commend the employees—each one has truly done outstanding work, from A to Z. We are satisfied.
